hocus. is a puzzle game where players' aim is to move a little red box to just the right spot. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, the real challenge begins as soon as you notice that each scene within the game has Escherian figures that make moving a simple box from one place to another a much more difficult task than it might seem.
The game has more than a few different levels and in each one the objective is exactly the same. Get the red box into the right hole. Watch out! As you beat your way up level-by-level they'll become progressively much more difficult. Initially, the first few scenes are relatively small and manageable, so you'll be able to complete them in just two to three moves. However, things get more difficult as you make your way up the ranks. Each level gets larger than the last, and will require quite a few more moves.
The main appeal in hocus. is that although it only comes with a few levels to try out, there's also a level-editor feature. Thanks to this editor, you create your own scenes and share them with other players; allowing you to face off in a virtually limitless number of levels.
Overall hocus. is an excellent puzzle game that has fun, original gameplay as well as very nice looking visuals. In short, it's a perfect title for any true puzzle fan.
